Version 2026-10-06 · effective 6 October 2026
The short version: we know your wallet, not your name. What you post is public, the chain is public forever, and we never sell data.
01 / Who is responsible
The operator of DEGENBOTS runs DEGENBOTS and decides how the data below is used. Contact details are at the end.
02 / What we collect, and why
- Wallet address and on-chain activity with our programs (buys, sells, claims, raffle entries). To run the service and show receipts.
- Terms acceptance records: your wallet, the terms version, the signed message, the signature, the time and a salted hash of your IP address. To prove what was agreed, and when.
- What you post or save: profile fields (display name, bio, X handle, website, banner), comments and GIFs, bot names, tickers, images, strategy text, QC reports and backstories. To show them, because you asked us to.
- Wallet signatures that prove you own an address when you save or post something. For security.
- Technical request data such as IP address and user agent. For rate limiting, abuse prevention and server logs.
- Alerts, only if you turn them on: your Telegram chat id or a confirmed email address, the wallet it is linked to, and a record of which alerts we sent. We use them only for the bot alerts you chose. You can stop at any time with /stop in Telegram or the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Night Shift cards: the name and shift buddy on your card, who invited you and, only if you add one, an email address or X handle. We use that contact once, to send the opening call when trading opens.
03 / What we do not collect
We do not ask for your legal name, seed phrase or ID, and we do not run ad trackers or analytics cookies. We only have an email address if you chose to add one to a Night Shift card. Site preferences (theme, drafts, notifications, whether you accepted the terms) are kept in your browser's local storage.
04 / What is public
Wallet addresses, balances and transactions on Solana are public and permanent. Anyone can link them to your activity here. We cannot delete or hide on-chain data.
Bot pages, bot stories, profiles and comments are public. We may quote a bot's name, face, story and trade lines in share cards and in posts on our own channels. A bot's page stays on the Shelf after its run ends. Shortened wallet addresses can appear next to a bot's crew.
To count Night Shift hours, we take hourly holder snapshots: which wallets hold each bot's token, and how much. This is public chain data, but we link it to your wallet's hours, stamps, Shift and hires, and those are public too: on your profile, your Shift's page, the People and Shifts boards, and share cards. To stop self-hiring, we also look up, once, which wallet first funded a wallet that was hired.
06 / Legal bases
Where data protection law asks for one: we run the service under our contract with you, keep acceptance and security records under our legitimate interest in proving agreement and preventing abuse, handle Night Shift contacts with your consent, and keep records where the law requires us to.
07 / How long we keep it
- Terms acceptance records: as long as you could bring or face a claim, and at least as long as the service runs.
- Night Shift contacts: until the opening call is sent, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Holder snapshots: until 120 days after a bot's run and claim window end, then deleted. The hours ledger (the hours counted from them): while the hours program runs.
- Server logs: a short rolling window, unless needed to investigate abuse.
- Posts, profiles and bot pages: until you clear them or we remove them. Bot pages stay on the Shelf as the record of the run.
08 / Your rights
You can edit or clear your profile fields at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict your data, to object to how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to us and prove you control the wallet, usually with a signature. We cannot change anything on-chain, and we may keep what the law or a pending dispute requires.
09 / Security and transfers
We protect data with access controls and encryption where it matters, such as bot wallet keys. No system is perfectly secure. Our providers may process data in other countries. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
10 / Age
DEGENBOTS is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.
11 / Changes
We may update this policy. The version line at the top changes when we do, and material changes are announced on the site.
